Jester shares with us her very candid conversation with Josue Gomez and how his life changed forever while out on a hike October 20, 2021.
Josue Gomez, or recently named "Spider-Meatball," joins Jester on the podcast to share with us how his life changed for the positive on October 20, 2021. Josue tells us how he started working for ZPacks, began hiking, and made the decision that his life was valuable and worth living after he summited Blood Mountain on the Appalachian Trail in Georgia.
Hiking has become an important part of Josue's mental health journey and he does speak about suicide in this episode. Jester and Josue wanted to make sure the National Suicide Hotline number was mentioned and posted in the show notes. The number is 1-800-273-8255. The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals in the United States.
