Kurt was always a ground dweller from the time he started camping as a little kid. Then, back in 2015 a friend of his I had gotten into camping and asked if he had ever tried a hammock, which he had not. He was curious so he picked up a cheap hammock to test out and fell in love with it. Now, 7 years later he owns his own business called Hemlock Mountain Outdoors, and makes hammocks and camping gear, and can't imagine going to ground for any reason other than the novelty of it... or no trees.
